Everyone has a favorite flower. If this is begonia for you, here's a hint on how you can multiply your begonia.
Propagate begonias over cuttings
Begonias are propagated through cuttings. This means that you have to cut about eight centimeters long shoots from the mother flower. Remove all other leaves except the top two. These should be cut off cleanly and never tear. Then fill a glass with water and cover it with clingfilm. Now you put in several holes and stick through the stems of the cuttings. The stalk gets enough water, the leaves remain dry.
After a few days you can already see the first smaller roots. About four weeks later, the roots are so big that you can put the offshoots into pots. Now you must always water the branches regularly. The begonias should get a bright spot at a maximum of 15 degrees to get through the winter well. In addition, should be in the room in which the begonias stand, a good humidity. With proper care, you can enjoy the new plants next year.
Propagate begonias by sowing
Of course, you can also multiply begonias by sowing. However, this method is not as promising as the propagation of cuttings. The problem with that is that only about half of the seeds that you spread are absorbed.
