Especially the mallow has sun. But it also thrives in the shade. It is important in any case, that the soil at the chosen location is loamy permeable, because only then is the plant doing well.
You do not necessarily prefer mug mallows. The sowing can take place from March also directly into the field. To do this, peel about 1 centimeter deep furrows and sprinkle the seeds inside. Then it's time to wait. In early summer you should then separate the plants. Keep a distance of about 50 centimeters.
But you can also prefer the cup flour in the house. Put the seeds in a seed bowl and put them in a plastic bag, because you can close. Then place the tray in a place where temperatures are continuously around 20 degrees Celsius and keep the substrate moderately moist. After about 20 days, the seed should have risen. If the seedlings are about 10 centimeters in size, you need to pimp them and plant them in larger flowerpots. In March, the plants are then allowed to go outdoors.

If you want your mug flowers to flower for a very long time, snap off the withered shoots regularly. So you can enjoy longer the wonderful flowers.
After flowering, you can then completely remove the plant from the soil and compost it.
Keep mug fallow low:
If you do not want to be so big, then you can keep it low. To do this you simply have to cut off the mallow at the desired height, like other perennials do. So she grows busier.
Mallows multiply and sow themselves. That's why you can always get more. The small, weak plants should then simply tear or implement.
If you want to multiply the plant deliberately, then you can use the seeds of the previous year. You should sow the seeds in seed boxes in February to March. From May to June, you can then put the small plants in the garden.
