Flowerbed in July - 4 tips
- You should thinn out plants that produce many flowers. Especially sunflowers and dahlias form more beautiful flowers when they are reduced. So they are much bigger.
- Dahlias, lilies and gladioli often develop flowers that are too heavy and through which the flower can bend. To avoid this, you should support these plants. You bind dahlias together, while lilies and gladioli hold bamboo sticks.
- End of July is the best time to set autumn crocuses. The onions should be placed up to 10 centimeters deep in loose soil.
- If you mow lawns and do not know where to put the clippings, then spread them on the flowerbeds. This gives the soil nutrients, keeps it moist and suppresses weed formation.
