The Content Of The Article:
Who has lilies in the garden, which can be lucky, because these beautiful flowers are, as the name suggests, a real adornment in every bed. If you do not get enough of it, you can, instead of buying expensive specimens, even grow your own offspring.
And that is how it works:
- Cut the flowers in early September, because then the seeds are ready for harvest. These pluck them off and put them in a bowl. The seeds are recognizable by the fact that they are long and black.
- Now prepare a bowl of potting soil. Sprinkle the still fresh seeds (do not let them dry) over the seedbed and cover them with a very thin layer of soil.
- The dish should now be placed in a bright place where the temperature should be above 15 degrees. A conservatory would be ideal. Now patience is required. If the plantlets are five inches tall, then you have to put them separately.
Do not hesitate, because lilies need five years to flower the first time.
