If such bald spots in the lawn or grass spots are not processed fast enough, clover and dandelions grow in the middle of the beautiful ornamental lawn. Which is why a very effective remedy, the so-called turf patch, is offered in specialist shops.

Lawn paving is a mixture of granules (seeds, ornamental grass seeds), nitrogen fertilizer and germ substrate, which, in combination with water, develops its full effect and can even be used on almost all soil surfaces.

The turf patch is available in different packaging units (for example, available here), with a quantity of approximately 3.5 kilograms sufficient for a complete lawn area of ​​approximately 15 square meters. In principle, you must ensure that no excessive overdosage occurs when the granulate is applied to the respective bald spot.

You can also use grass paving if there are many small bald spots on a lawn due to the removal of lawn weeds. Whereby a regular irrigation of the entire lawn is recommended.

Apply lawn patch properly

The use of the turf is practically possible from March to October. Where, with sufficient irrigation of the processed area already after five days, a really respectable result is recorded. And so you apply a so-called turf properly:

  1. Remove already dead grass in the bald spots.
  2. Generous removal of bald spots due to veterinary use (remove soil, top up with fresh soil, if necessary).
  3. Slightly loosen the ground of the bald spot.
  4. Apply the turf evenly - observe the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
  5. Watering the lawn until the granules turn dark.
  6. Then irrigate the grass patch whenever the granules lighten up.

" Important:

The fertilization effect of the turf patch extends over a period of approximately 6 weeks. An additional fertilization is therefore not necessary.
