2 ways you can pull a pineapple yourself

Possibility Number 1:

❶ Buy a normal pineapple and head it. You have to leave about five centimeters of pulp under the fresh green leaves of the pineapple fruit. Then carefully remove the flesh from the bottom of the leaf with a knife. You can also carefully unscrew the stem. Then cut off a small piece of the bottom end, remove the bottom leaves (about 3 rows of leaves), and let the stem dry for about three days so it does not start to rot.

❷ After the drying time, place the leaf head in a vase filled with water. The trunk must now be a few inches deep in the water. In about two to three weeks, the first roots will form. It is important that you make sure that the trunk is very warm and sunny. 25 degrees are ideal.

❸ If roots of a few millimeters have formed, it can go on. As the first nutrient-poor substrate, fill it into a jar. Then plant the stem into the soil and pour it on.

❹ In order for the pineapple plant to develop optimally, it is advisable to put a transparent plastic bag over the plant and attach it with a ribbon or rubber to the pot. Then place the plant in a warm and bright place and air it once in a while. Otherwise it is time to wait.

❺ As soon as new leaves form in the middle of the leaf, you can remove the plastic bag, which is an indication that the pineapple plant has grown well. Then it's time to wait until a new flower or fruit grows.

Option 2:

❶ Pack the pineapple on the tuft and carefully turn out the stalk. Alternatively, you can also cut off the top third of the pineapple along with the leaves and then remove the pulp. Then you have to tear off the bottom leaves and cut off something from the bottom of the stalk.

❷ Now do not put the stalk in a glass of water, but gently press it into some charcoal. That disinfects him. Then you have to let the stalk dry for about a day.

❸ The next day you can then already plant the trunk directly into the substrate. Then you must put the pot in a light and warm place and pour the plant about every two weeks. Then it's time to wait until new leaves and a new fruit form.
