Rose arches decorate our gardens, make eye-catchers worth seeing and are often taken as a separating element. We explain how you should set up a rose arch.
Rose bows must be set up stably
A rose arch is often set up as a passageway on paths or directly at the entrance. But a rose bow also wants to be set up properly and above all stable. The reason: On the one hand, the plant itself, which grows naturally over time and becomes heavier, needs support, on the other hand because of the weather. Wind tugs at the rose arch and can overturn a loosely attached bow very quickly. Follow our instructions and your rose arch will stand like a one.
Rose Bow Set up - 2 tips
- At the point where the rose arch is supposed to rise, lift four holes that should have a depth of at least 50 centimeters. Then you have to place a metal or plastic pipe exactly the same length vertically in the hole and fill it with liquid cement. These tubes should have a diameter of about 20 centimeters. Now you just have to put the rose arch in the foundation, let the cement harden and fill the holes with soil - that's it!
- If you want to set up a rose bow made of wood, then you should not let the wood directly into the cement but first use so-called beam shoes. These can also bring you into the ground without foundation. On the beam shoes, you should screw the wooden rose bow tight.
