If you like exotic plants, you'll love the Sharon fruit. The decorative Kaki tree finds more and more followers even in the local latitudes. An outdoor planting is only possible in very mild climates, as the plant is not hardy. Therefore, it is cultivated in the local latitudes usually in the bucket. Seeds for their own rearing are offered in the trade. With the right know-how, this is not difficult.

To gain seeds

Unfortunately, there are usually no seeds in the persimmon fruits that are available for consumption in the local supermarkets. These were bred out for easier consumption and greater enjoyment. But now and then it is quite possible that a fruit still has seeds. However, it is easier, if the Sharonfrucht itself is to be pulled from seed, to get them in the well-stocked garden shop or online over the Internet.   • warm conservatory
Before the suitable location is found here, the selected room should be observed in advance with a thermometer for at least one day, so 24 hours, whether the temperature remains constantly in the desired frame.
Tip: If no suitable location for such warm temperatures has been found and no heated room greenhouse is available, then a heat lamp, which is aimed directly at the pot, can also help and the appropriate heat can be achieved.


If the suitable location for the vessel with the seed soil as well as the seed has been found, then during the germination period also a lot of attention must be paid, so that new small kaki trees can develop from this. So the substrate must be kept evenly moist, but without giving too much water. Because this would mean that the Kakisamen could rot and thus germination becomes impossible.Furthermore, during the germination period, which may take a little longer, consider the following:

After the seeds are germinated successfully, the cultivation follows. In order to thrive and grow well, the Sharon fruit needs a different substrate than the one used during the germination period. The young plant can remain in their seed pot until the bale is fully rooted. But then it is time to replant the Sharon fruit into a new, larger vessel that will allow it to move to the chosen final location. Attention should be paid to the following:
