Chilli pods are similar to garlic. Either you like it or you do not like it. There is seldom an intermediate. Anyone who grows chilies in the garden, of course, not only uses them for decorative purposes, but also often wants to use them in the kitchen. You can also take the fresh chillies or you can dry the chillies and make a powder out of them. This is especially useful if you have a harvest surplus of chillies. So you have, depending on the amount, a whole year something of the spicy spice.
But how do you make chili powder yourself? Thats is quite easy. To ensure that nothing goes wrong, have a look at the video by Anna Teresa. Here she shows, step by step, how whole chillies are used to create a new spice for the kitchen shelf.
In the video, the powder is relatively coarse, who prefers it finer, who can then chill the chilies through an electric coffee grinder, then the result is really fine powder.
Did you know?
The sharpness of the chili is not in the pod itself, but much more in the seeds and the white parts inside the pod. So you can have a say in how hard the powder gets.
