comparatively high price is thus relativised in the course of the life years of a wooden window.
However, wood as a material in window construction has just as many disadvantages. So wood is the most nurturing material that you can choose. The wooden frame must be oiled at least twice a year so that the wood does not become brittle and crack.
In addition, wooden windows require a new protective glaze every two years and even a new coat of paint every five years. The financial advantage of longevity is thus reflected in the investment costs of care
leveraged, adding a massive amount of work. Last but not least, the financial aspect is the point why people are less and less opting for wooden windows. The initial investment costs are significantly higher than those of plastic windows.
Advantages and disadvantages of plastic windows
Plastic is now ranked one of the materials in window construction. The clear advantages of this material justify this. Thanks to plastic compounds that have matured more and more, the service life of plastic windows has improved massively in recent years and has come close to that of wood. At the same time plastic is much cheaper than wood.

Critics complain about plastic windows, however, the ecological aspect. In addition, it can come with plastic windows by static charge to an increased attraction of dust.
